We also got to meet Mr. Vernon, the Miwok Crossing Guard who helps students cross Alhambra at I Street. Thank you Mr. Vernon!
Walk and Roll to Miwok Middle School Was a Success: On Wednesday, October 7th we celebrated National Walk & Roll to School Day! Thank you to our volunteers and the students who joined us. We had donuts to power us along our walk and we were happy to have Councilmember Eric Guerra join us. Thank you to Miwok Middle Schoolers and to the administration for supporting us. Also, big shout out to HQ Security for walking with us. Some furry friends also joined in the walk.

McKinley Park Trash Dash this Sunday, 10 AM: Calling all Trash Dashers. Come out to our beautiful park and make it shine for all to see. We will meet up by the Duck Pond at McKinley Park. Lots of friendly faces will be out to help us clean up around the park. We will have our litter getters, trash bags, gloves and lots of friendly faces out to make our park shiny. It should be a beautiful fall day in Sacramento–come out and enjoy the fresh air while picking things up around town.
Is Two Hours Too Much? Many hands make light work, and even a quick dash around an area of the park is much appreciated. More information can be found on Facebook and Nextdoor
November Trash Dash: November 15th, same time, same place

Nothing Happens Unless Someone Knows There’s a Problem: Ever wonder why something isn’t being done about an unsafe situation in the area? If it isn’t reported to the City, it is as if it isn’t happening. So, REPORT, REPORT, REPORT. We all need to report issues that are happening to create a record of the problem with the City. If you see something off in your area, report it.
Call 311 or, better yet, use the Sacramento 311 app to report issues.
Let Our Councilmember Know: Our councilmember, Phil Pluckebaum, needs to know about the issues we are facing. Blocked sidewalk along your child’s walk to school? Unleashed dogs causing concern at the park? Unsafe conditions in the park at night? Contact Councilmember Pluckebaum’s office.
Phone is best: 916-808-7004
Email: district4@cityofsacramento.org
Voicing your concerns at City Council meetings and at community events attended by Councilmember Pluckebaum is also encouraged
