McKinley Park Trash Dash Dates: Our intrepid trash dashers will be out at McKinley Park on January 26th from 10 am to noon, and then will be hosting our big quarterly, city sponsored Trash Dash on February 16th, same time, same place. More details to come.
Tree Planting Volunteers Needed: East Sacramento Preservation, a MESA partner Neighborhood Association is working with Sacramento City Parks Arborist and Sacramento Tree Foundation to replace more of the missing trees in McKinley Park.
On Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 9 am, we need 30-35 volunteers to plant 10-15 trees. The City Staff will provide equipment to auger the holes for planting and the stakes. Our volunteers will need to clear the hole with shovels, plant, and stake the trees. Volunteers should bring a pair of work gloves. Shovels and other equipment are provided by the city parks department.
“He that plants trees loves others besides himself” — Thomas Fuller. Let’s give to our future generations a legacy of shade and beauty.
